Calvin Harris--Bounce

Hello my 123Flooorbloggers!!!

Pardon my absence! First off a big thank you to Chevznitelife for carrying the blog while I was mia. Earning a BA in Environmental Studies is work folks. Don't care what fox news says... Who would have thought we'd hit 10k in 4 months?

To get things going again I'd like to drop with one of my favorite DJs Mistah Calvin Harris! His last single Awooga destroyed the charts, can't recall how many times I heard Djs dropping it at Coachella, and this time Calvin is back with the bossy queen herself, Kelis!

I was cycling through my hard drives and came to realize that she's actually been in quite a few edm things over the last few years. Very impressive voice if I do say so myself. Anyhow, here's there newest single Bounce--Awooga touch perhaps?

Guy J - Lamur (Henry Saiz Remix)

This just blew my mind.

After setting the scene alight with numerous killer singles, Israeli producer Guy J released his hotly anticipated full-length artist album ‘Esperanza’ on Bedrock Records in last quarter of 2008, to universal critical acclaim, and has been touring ever since around the globe. Now he returns to Bedrock in 2009 with yet another killer single, ‘Lamur’, complete with a stunning remix from one of Spain’s upcoming stars, Henry Saiz.

Guy J has emerged over the course of the last two years to represent an intrinsic part of the Israeli dance music juggernaut that has been steadily powering through clubland in recent times. Along with fellow countrymen Guy Gerber, Sholmi Aber, Chaim and Gel Abril, Guy has been at the forefront of a movement back towards the melody rich sounds on which House music is based. Guy’s productions, with their driving beats, shimmering synths and journey-like qualities, embody characteristics from all sub-genres of House music. Guy J creates music that is brimming with soul.

Henry Saiz was born in Madrid, and is one of his country’s fastest rising future stars through his quality productions and amazing live sets. 2007 was a breakthrough year for this young star, taking his live show around Europe. He has created his own style, a complex and emotive form of electronic club music which brings together melody, intensity, depth and maximum attention to detail. His original productions on esteemed Spanish labels Natura Sonoris, Paradigma Musik & Software, were picked up by John Digweed for his recent compilation: Transitions Vol.4, and he’s the perfect choice to remix ‘Lamur’.

Mat Zo - Superman (Original Mix) [Anjunabeats]

Mat Zo yet again delivers us a masterpiece. He continues to set the pavement for the future of trance. He did it once with Rebound, along with Arty, and now again with Superman. Although it's not the conventional trance, Superman still does not seize to amaze me. It features a dabbling style of sound that still manages to bring the euphoric feel to it. This will definitely receive a live play at the Above & Beyond Group Therapy Launch Party! =)

I want you addicted to me..

When in this smokey place I only see you
Was far away when you caught my eye

I know what you're needing
My thoughts are leading, me straight into your eyes
I'm looking right at you
This feeling is all new, I want you addicted to me

Till there was you..

Arty & Mat Zo - Rebound [Anjunabeats]

music is what feeling sounds like
Arty & Mat Zo!!!!!! Rebound is the 200th release for the household label, Anjunabeats. And in that celebration, Above & Beyond asked these two to collaborate, and this is what they have come up with! It is absolutely amazing! Best trance I've heard in a while! It is powerful, peaceful, and euphoric all at the same time. It was featured as Record of the Week on Trance Around The World, and was three times chosen as the Web Vote Winner by its audience!

Here at 123Flooor, plan on hearing this baby at Above and Beyond's Group Therapy Album Launch Party at the Hollywood Palladium.

Arty & Mat Zo - Rebound (Original Mix)[beatport]

-----> Check out more [Arty][Anjunabeats]

The masterpiece start us off with an energetic driving bassline, provided in Mat Zo's signature manner, that gives us a powerful and loud pumping sound! This sets us up for what is about to come. Next enter the accumulation of bleep here, bleep there, bleep everywhere; the layering and accumulating of sounds one on top of the other perfectly bringing us newly discovered trance territory. At the 2:55 mark we reach the breakdown in its bedgasm style, leaving us in a peace of mind state. Mat Zo and Arty really set the mood here, but it is right after we leave the echoing thumps that the real magic begins. The hopeful and inspirational voice behind this track comes through in the form of the main melody. Wolfgang Gartner once said in an interview regarding his new track, Forever, "To me, it just has this energy of 'let's make this last forever,... Let's keep this going for as long as we can." Well to me, Rebound has a melody that you wish would last forever. As we ride the Rebound melody, Arty and Zo give us a little kick to get our feet off the floor and get us ready for the final stage of the track. Right as we approach the highest point of this song, Arty's signature power-synth takes over adding even more character to the melody, getting you ready for the drop, a drop that will blast you off into the world of 'dance like there is no tomorrow.' Once the drop comes, well... you know.
