music is what feeling sounds like
Arty & Mat Zo!!!!!! Rebound is the 200th release for the household label, Anjunabeats. And in that celebration, Above & Beyond asked these two to collaborate, and this is what they have come up with! It is absolutely amazing! Best trance I've heard in a while! It is powerful, peaceful, and euphoric all at the same time. It was featured as Record of the Week on Trance Around The World, and was three times chosen as the Web Vote Winner by its audience! Here at 123Flooor, plan on hearing this baby at Above and Beyond's Group Therapy Album Launch Party at the Hollywood Palladium.
Arty & Mat Zo - Rebound (Original Mix)[beatport]

The masterpiece start us off with an energetic driving bassline, provided in Mat Zo's signature manner, that gives us a powerful and loud pumping sound! This sets us up for what is about to come. Next enter the accumulation of bleep here, bleep there, bleep everywhere; the layering and accumulating of sounds one on top of the other perfectly bringing us newly discovered trance territory. At the 2:55 mark we reach the breakdown in its bedgasm style, leaving us in a peace of mind state. Mat Zo and Arty really set the mood here, but it is right after we leave the echoing thumps that the real magic begins. The hopeful and inspirational voice behind this track comes through in the form of the main melody. Wolfgang Gartner once said in an interview regarding his new track, Forever, "To me, it just has this energy of 'let's make this last forever,... Let's keep this going for as long as we can." Well to me, Rebound has a melody that you wish would last forever. As we ride the Rebound melody, Arty and Zo give us a little kick to get our feet off the floor and get us ready for the final stage of the track. Right as we approach the highest point of this song, Arty's signature power-synth takes over adding even more character to the melody, getting you ready for the drop, a drop that will blast you off into the world of 'dance like there is no tomorrow.' Once the drop comes, well... you know.
